Tax Investigation Scheme

HMRC are launching more and more enquiries into tax payers affairs. Anyone can be investigated and it can be completely at random regardless of how well your books and records are prepared. Even under a random enquiry HMRC tend not to leave any stone unturned and consequently the cost of dealing with enquires can be substantial.

For many years now we have a tax investigation service which protects those clients who sign up to the service from the professional costs that would be incurred as a result of a tax enquiry.

To support this tax investigation service we take out an insurance policy in our own name which would pay our costs, for those who subscribe, for dealing with full enquires. In addition the service now covers aspect enquiries, pre-disputes, compliance visits and schedule 36. Therefore the service should cover most instances of dispute with HMRC. The service also gives clients unlimited access to the business support telephone line for specialist advice on a wide range of issues from employment law, health and safety to commercial and legal matters.
